Surabaya, Indonesia — ARTOTEL TS Suites Surabaya marked “I Am Artotel Day” with an internal gathering that combined employee appreciation and social awareness, reflecting a growing emphasis on workplace well-being and corporate responsibility in Indonesia’s hospitality sector.

The event, held Saturday (10 January 2026) at the hotel’s Venture Meeting Room, adopted a relaxed pajamas party theme, allowing staff from various departments to step away from routine formalities and engage in a more personal, informal setting.

Management said the initiative was designed to strengthen internal cohesion while acknowledging the role of employees in maintaining service quality and operational stability.

Executive Assistant Manager Rado Gusti highlighted the importance of human capital in sustaining the hotel’s performance.

“Behind every service standard and guest experience are people who work with commitment and consistency. This moment is about recognising that contribution,” he said.

Beyond employee engagement, the programme also addressed broader social concerns. Representatives from the local Office for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection delivered a session on preventing violence against women and children, human trafficking, and the handling of minors in conflict with the law.

As part of its social outreach, ARTOTEL TS Suites Surabaya donated Rp3 million to support flood victims in West Sumatra. The assistance was channelled through the Dana Amanah Umat Zakat Foundation (LAZ DAU).

The event also featured recognition for outstanding employees and a formal farewell for internship participants who had completed their training period.

Human Resources Manager Ari Anggraini Mayadewi said the gathering was intended to foster a sense of belonging within the organisation.

“We want our employees to feel valued not only for their work, but also as individuals within a shared community,” she said.
